To help ensure that the education of our students and the working environments of our members are of the highest quality.

To help develop local capacity by the identification and development of local strategies to be utilized in building strong locals focused on helping members be successful in their jobs.
THE COMMISSION WILL:

  • Identify, renew and recommend curriculum, instructional and assessment resources that support the achievement of student learning.

  • Develop a plan for the recruitment of minority teachers and National Board Candidates.

  • Identify, plan and recommend learning and other activities/events to be implemented for the recognition, observance/celebration of special events, activities, for accomplishments in education.

Recruit and select recipients for the MEA Excellence and Anne Sullivan Awards.
