Listen to MEA’s new monthly radio show on WJR, Michigan Talk Network

MEA’s monthly radio show, “Voices of Michigan Education,” kicked off in January with a great conversation about how Michigan’s teachers are preparing students for the jobs our state needs. You can listen to a podcast of the show or chat about it online on the show’s blog at www.mea.org/radio.  The next show airs on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m. on Detroit’s News/Talk 760 WJR and on Saturday, Feb. 7 statewide on the Michigan Talk Network.

MEA members lend a hand, give big bucks

December radio ads shine spotlight on goodwill

Did you know that more than 80 percent of MEA members lend a hand, volunteering at local church outreach programs, food and clothing drives, shelters and emergency aid agencies? Or, that in addition to contributing time, MEA members donate $77 million each year to worthy causes? Throughout December, MEA ads aired on radio stations around the state promoting members' philanthropy, while a press release garnered dozens of positive stories about the charitable work of school employees during the holiday season.
