Each year the Michigan Art Education Association purchases an entry to honor a Michigan art educator. The 2007 Purchase is Paper Doll, by Karen Kierstead Miller of Okemos. This purchase is in honor of the MAEA Art Educator of the Year Cynthia Smith. Cynthia is a teacher in Mt. Pleasant.
