2017-18 Charge:
To help ensure that the education of our students and the working environments of our members are of the highest quality.
To help develop local capacity by the identification and development of local strategies to be utilized in building strong locals focused on helping members be successful in their jobs.
THE COMMISSION WILL:
- Support instructional achievement of student learning via MEA online professional development.
- Provide support for National Board candidates.
- Manage the screening and selection of recipients for the MEA Educational Excellence Award, Irma Ramos Bilingual Education Award, Anne Sullivan Education and Support of Persons with Disabilities Award and Migrant Education
- Support certification programs for instructional paraprofessionals.
