Local events for the Tuesday, June 7, MEA Day of Action are being collected by MEA’s four Zone Directors. If you know of an event that is not listed on this page, please submit it to your zone director as soon as possible.

Here's a list of activities planned for next Tuesday, June 7:
Rochester EA will be doing informational picketing after school for 15-20 minutes.
Birmingham EA will be doing informational picketing after school.
Walled Lake Transportation Association is planning to picket near the intersection of Maple and Pontiac Trail during the day between their morning and afternoon bus runs.
Troy Education Association is planning to picket from 3-5 near the intersection of Rochester and Big Beaver Roads in front of Rep. Marty Knollenberg's insurance office.
Berkley EA is planning to do informational picketing at each school.
Bloomfield Hills EA will be doing informational picketing at the elementary buildings.
5:30 p.m. – MEA Day of Action Rally – Wear red for public education.
Where: Parking lot near the Traverse City Farmer’s Market, south side of Grandview Parkway (US31/M37/M-72) across from Clinch Park Marina (former zoo site)
Farmington EA will host their regular Tuesday “Coffee with Colleagues” and meet in front of the schools wearing red.
3-5:30 p.m. – Ferndale EA picketing; Hazel Park, Clawson and Madison EA members will be joining them.
Where: Corner of Nine Mile Rd. and Woodward
Northville EA will be picketing several building during the day. Before the school board meeting that evening, the membership will march through downtown Northville and then attend the board meeting.
3-6 p.m. -- Holland EA will be at Centennial Park in Hiolland,
Okemos is planning a picketing from 3:30 to 6:00 PM on the corner of Mt. Hope and Okemos Roads a the Okemos schools administration building
Dansville is planning a demonstration before school while parents dropping of children. Teachers will be wearing red shirts.
Bridgeman elementary teachers will be out before school at Reed Middle School as parents are dropping off students. Middle school teachers will be out in force at Bridgeman Elementary School as parents are picking up students. Atr Bridgeman High School. teachers will be interacting with students.
3-5:30 p.m. -- Ferndale EA will be picketing at the corner of Nine Mile Road and Woodward. Hazel Park, Clawson and Madison MEA members will be joining them.
3:10-5:00 the FEA and friends will be walking the main street block by the Fremont High School (204 E. Main, Fremont, MI 49412)to raise awareness and bring attention to the state’s school funding crisis. You are more than welcome to come join us. Bring your signs and wear red. (East main Street is also known as M-82).
