NAESP sponsors children's book award contest

If you've thought about becoming a published children's author, enter the 2011 Children's Book of the Year contest sponsored by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) in cooperation with Charlesbridge Publishing of Boston.

To enter, submit a picture or chapter book written for children from 3-16 years of age. The text must be in English; no illustrations are required. Entries must be submitted by March 1. There is a $45 entry fee; additional entries can be submitted for $25 each.

Two winners--one for a children's picture book and one for a chapter book--will be announced March 23.
