ESP Caucus leaders address rank-and-file concerns
ESP Caucus President George Jackson says forums will give
leaders a
chance to hear from the rank and file.
MEA ESP Caucus Board leaders are reaching out to rank-and-file support staff members on their home turf this fall with five forums designed to address ESP concerns on a variety of issues.
Caucus leadership is visiting each zone across the state to give ESP members the opportunity to ask questions and address issues that impact them and their locals.
MEA’s new percentage dues structure, privatization and attacks on insurance and retirement are among the top issues causing concern for ESP members.
“We encourage our members to visit a forum in their home area and ask questions,” ESP Caucus President George Jackson said. “We want to hear your concerns and get to know you one-on-one.”
ESP forums in Pontiac, Gaylord, Traverse City and Lansing took place in September with two meetings remaining:
-
Battle Creek: 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Oct. 14, MEA office, 424 Riverside Drive, Suite 100.
-
Grand Rapids: 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Oct. 28, Kent County EA/Grand Rapids EA office, 3205 Eaglecrest Drive N.E.
