Aidan Martini, a second-grade student at Myers Elementary School in Grand Blanc, threw out the ceremonial first pitch on MEA Day at Comerica Park.
Aidan fired a strike to Tigers’ first-base coach Andy Van Slyke before a sellout crowd just minutes before the start of the Detroit-Oakland game. Van Slyke gave the ball to Aidan as a souvenir.
