MESSA prepared to meet challenges ahead
The passage of Public Act 106/Senate Bill 418, the so-called “MESSA bill,” won’t deter MESSA from providing the best value in the marketplace and quality service to its members.
“We will continue to provide members with the coverage, service, peace of mind and sense of security they’ve come to expect,” MESSA Executive Director Cynthia Irwin said. “We’ve successfully competed in the market before against bidding, and we expect our success to continue.”
MESSA is prepared for the challenges ahead.
“MESSA and MEA have faced many difficult challenges over the past five decades, none greater than the vigorous battles in the 1960s and 1970s to win quality health benefits for educational employees in the first place,” Irwin said. “We fully expect to serve the unique health insurance needs of public school employees for the next 50 years.”
