Team effort leads to settlement in Lansing
Jerry Swartz, Lansing Schools Education Association president, announced a contract settlement less than a week after more than 1,200 LSEA members and supporters ringed the district’s central administration building to protest the lack of progress in bargaining. Swartz thanked MEA for the help provided by MEA officers, legal and communications departments and UniServ director Dan Zarimba in reaching a three-year agreement.“It was a team effort,” he said.
